For vehicle-structure interaction and dynamic simulations we use our own in-house DinaTwin software that has capabilities for forward and inverse problem solving. Additionally, we aim to execute everything with Python, but also we have experience with MatLab, Simpack, Ansys and Abaqus.

It can simplify dynamic analysis of the structure enabling parametrized studies that can be also performed by non-experts. Further, it can be used to (1) identify the condition of the structure, (2) form understanding of the operational behavior of the structure due to influence of various factors, (3) measure in the model what cannot be measured in the field, and (4) serve as a base for predictive maintenance. Also it can be used to (5) acquire synthetic model-based data for machine-learning and edge computing applications, for which our DinaTwin software is particularly suitable because of it's computational efficiency.
